They Made Me Do It - Songs from Donnie Darko

Donnie Darko had some of best 80's music.  In fact, if it hadn't been for this film I would have continued to believe all my naive friends who claimed "there was no such thing as good music in the 80s."  Here are a few songs from one of my favorite movie soundtracks.

Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears on Grooveshark
Killing Moon by Echo & The Bunnymen on Grooveshark
Notorious by Duran Duran on Grooveshark
Love Will Tear Us Apart [Radio Version] by Joy Division on Grooveshark
Never Tear Us Apart by INXS on Grooveshark

If you like Donnie Darko check out the "Mad World" music video by Gary Jules.

  3. I'm always happy when younger people appreciate music from the 80's. There was a goldmine of good music back then. There was also a load of shite, as with any generation. You just had to find it. We had no Internet, no YouTube, or I tunes. Only MTV (yes, they really played music back then) or you had to search for it in a record shop, or know someone who had been exposed to it and could then expose you. And it made you appreciate it all the more!
