Devin Davis released his debut LP, Lonely People of the World Unite, to a decent amount of fanfare. It got some blog coverage and was featured in some other online publications, but I still feel it didn't get as much publicity as it deserved. Why They Don't Suck: Davis has the unique ability to transform a standard indie rock song into an infectiously memorable ballad. While not every track on his debut album is equally strong, it will hopefully make for a strong precursor to his new disc and still holds it's own in creative punch.
